A Quaker approach to investments and the right use of money: Robert Howell

By suzannei on April 30, 2010

1.30 pm on Monday 17 May at Quaker Centre, Friends House,
173 Euston Rd, London NW1 2BJ

The first in a series of Quaker Peace & Social Witness daytime talks in the Quaker Centre

The international finance system has failed in a basic function: to obtain money from investors and to channel it to those organisations that provide goods and services for the benefit of society at large. Rather than rely on the free market, what is needed is a financial system based on an ecological economic model.  What could be a coordinated international approach for Quaker investments?
Robert Howell is a member of the QUNO Geneva Committee.  He is a contributor to Right Relationships Building a whole Earth Economy.

Registration is free but essential at www.quaker.org.uk/qpswday

Refreshments served from 1.30 pm in the Quaker Centre, meeting starts at 2pm, and will be followed by book signing.
