Requiem for a Species: Why we resist the truth about climate change

By suzannei on April 30, 2010

6pm on Tuesday 11 May 2010
Quaker Centre, Friends House,
173 Euston Rd, London NW1 2BJ

Join us for a discussion led by Clive Hamilton about his latest book. Why have we ignored warnings about climate change, and is it maybe now too late? This is the story of a battle within us between the forces that should have caused us to protect the Earth and our greed, materialism and alienation from Nature. And it is about the 21st century consequences of these failures.

6pm in the Quaker Centre Café for a 6.30pm start.

Registration is free but essential at www.quaker.org.uk/requiem

Requiem for a Species (£14.99), published by Earthscan (April 2010) will be on sale at the event at the discounted price of £12.00. For more information about the book, and for author articles, visit www.earthscan.co.uk/requiem
