Caddir writes about her day at YMG including a short part about one of the special interest groups she attended about the online forum. This has been a place for lots of Quaker-related discussion and also build-up to the Gathering. Having conversed on the forum, it’s always quite different when meeting up in person and [...]

Tuesday at YMG
Wednesday, July 29th, 2009Anger Banger
Sunday, July 26th, 2009Got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning, in fact out of the wrong bed all together. Mrs Drifter’s CPAP stopped working during the night cos the batteries were getting flattery, so slept on the spare bed, until woken by drunken yoofs banging on cabin top at 1.30 in t’morning. I’m afraid [...]
A low profile
Friday, July 24th, 2009My uncertainty and apprehension about YMG are being compounded by a bout of food poisoning which has stopped me in my tracks. I now know why it’s called a bout as I feel as though I’ve come off worst in a fight with bruised ribs and sore muscles!
I have a responsibility to Friends Historical Society [...]

I have been coming to Yearly Meeting and Summer Gathering for many years. I am trying to keep an open mind about the YMG ‘experiment’ so welcome the chance to blog about how [...]
Testing testing: on standby for YMG
Friday, July 17th, 2009Looking forward to YMG. It’ll be my first. Glad of any tips. It’s good that Nik has set up this community blog. I can only get there from Wednesday because I organise a camping fest every year in Hambledon Surrey and they clash.
I think there’s a Civil Liberties Special Interest Group on Friday 1245-1345 and [...]

I’m expecting it to be a busy gathering – I have been nominated as a Yearly Meeting Elder, and as a member of the Quaker Stewardship Committee [...]
